Unique Date Ideas

FreshMalt is a great resource for unique date ideas that can surely impress anyone. If you’re tired of doing same old thing all of the time, you’re in luck. We’ve compiled an extensive database of plans for your night or day, so that you can think outside the box and do something different.

Check out some unique date ideas we’ve come up with below. If you’re looking for more specifics, search or browse our repository of plans for any occasion. We know it’s hard to come up with creative things to do, so we’ll continue to add new ideas for your benefit.

New York City is currently the only place where you can get great date ideas from FreshMalt. However, let us know where you live and we’ll be sure to consider your city when we expand in the future.

  • Join a large group of people for a pillow fight. These don’t happen that often, but more and more major cities are enjoying organizations that create scenes. One popular event has been the mass pillow fight where people come to a designated location with pillows and start bashing each other. What could be more unique (and fun) than hitting your date with a pillow in public?
  • Learn how to fix the car. If your date knows more than you do when it comes to mechanical things, have him or her teach you the basics of checking and changing oil, checking brakes and changing flat tires. If you’re so inclined, learn more complex skills.
  • Donate blood. Do some good, and visit your local blood bank. If you don’t know your blood type, be sure to ask, as it’s a good thing to know in emergencies. Once you’ve been drained a little, enjoy the cookies and juice and the knowledge that you’ve helped society.
  • Organize a treasure hunt. Come up with a list of complicated steps and clues that lead to a special gift or date location. Perhaps you’ve bought your significant other something as grand as a new car or plan to surprise him or her by meeting at a significant place.
  • Revive the ’80s. Maybe you miss it, or maybe you missed it, but the music, fashion and culture of the 1980s surely will stick in our collective memory for ages. Throw on a pair of Wayfarers and head to ’80s night at a local bar or club and get down to some Men at Work.
  • Have a fiesta. Chow on tacos, burritos and enchiladas, then have flan for dessert at a local authentic Mexican taqueria. Some Mexican restaurants feature mariachi bands on weekend nights, so you might be able to boogie to the castanets while downing a few margaritas.
